Unit Context
The ITS Country Engagement (ITSCE) is a unit within the ITS Operations & Corporate department (ITSOE) that provides state-of-art information and technology applications to support communications with external audiences, donors, member counties and other key stakeholders. The unit focuses on modernizing the Bank's digital engagement with the public, external clients, partnerships, and other stakeholders; as well as on managing the Bank's development data resources and geospatial solutions. This includes support for the operations and country engagements, and more. We work with our clients to design solutions that help enable client responsiveness, improve organizational effectiveness, and manage risks. We are committed to delivering business solutions that deliver value for money while continuing to excel at the basics. We contribute to providing the Bank with an integrated digital platform that connects policies, processes, people, and knowledge across the institution in a holistic and staff-centric manner.
The Geospatial Solutions team within ITSCE is seeking a dynamic Product Owner with strong communication skills for the GeoLab and Geospatial Services sub-team. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing agile service delivery for GeoLab and geospatial services to clients. This position requires a highly skilled detail oriented product communications specialist with a proven track record.
Duties and Accountabilities:
â¢Develop and prioritize user stories, epics, and features in alignment with the Product Manager's strategy.
â¢Create detailed product specifications and ensure clear communication to relevant teams.
â¢Maintain a prioritized product and its service backlog.
â¢Be available in GeoLab to address stakeholder and team member queries regarding delivery and services.
â¢Participate in coordination meetings with Product Owners from various ITS sub-teams to manage dependencies and â¢optimize GeoLab service throughput.
â¢Mitigate roadblocks to achieve GeoLab and its service goals.
â¢Prepare and implement regular communications for ITSCE and GeoLab services.
â¢Utilize digital marketing tools and techniques to increase GeoLab Engagement and visibility.
â¢Manage internal communication channels and monitor online reputation.
â¢Ability to work independently in a complex environment with minimal guidance.
â¢Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
â¢Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders, including senior management.
â¢Strong presentation skills to deliver formal presentations to various audiences.
â¢Proven ability to lead team meetings, track issues, and drive action items to closure.
â¢Experience working with global teams in a matrixed organization.
Selection Criteria
â¢Master's degree in business administration, marketing, communication or project management with 5 years of professional experience within either communication, marketing of IT related services OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
â¢Very good understanding of analytical tools to measure key KPIs for the services delivered.
â¢Exceptional writing, editing, and oral communications skills; ability to convey complex and technical messages succinctly, creatively, and diplomatically.
â¢Proven experience working with Agile tools such as Azure Boards, Jira, or similar platforms to manage sprints, product backlogs, and prioritize development work.
â¢Familiarity with using KPIs. and analytics tools (Adobe Analytics, Power BI, Azure AppInsights, etc.) to track product usage, user satisfaction, and business impact.
â¢Experience with Geospatial applications and service will be a plus.
â¢Basic data modeling and database design understanding is a plus
